'Destiny 2' News: No Halloween Event This Year and On The Dawning

Developed by Bungie, "Destiny 2" has been one of the favorites in the gaming community. It has been recognized for its visuals, plotline, and gameplay, and it seems that the fans thoroughly enjoyed what it has offered. Considering that Halloween is on the horizon and how many game developers have announced their own event for the holiday, fans were curious to know if "Destiny 2" will be receiving its own Halloween event. Bungie's community manager David Dague responded quickly.

"No, Sir," Dague told the fan who asked directly if there would be a Festival of the Lost event in "Destiny 2" this year, as reported by GameSpot. "We may see it again someday but Season 1 has been about launch and ritual activation. The first event for Destiny 2 is The Dawning."

Fans of the game series would remember that Festival of the Lost is the Halloween event of Destiny 1. As would be expected from the holiday, the game, like many others, received a makeover that would fit the eerie nature of Halloween. Fans also received several treats and opportunities that would allow them to customize their respective characters. Fans believe that the loss of the Festival of the Lost this year is an indication that Bungie may be working hard for the PC version and the upcoming event called The Dawning. Regardless, many fans were disappointed with the news.

While enjoying the Halloween season on other games, fans can also look forward to The Dawning, which is the winter holiday and event of "Destiny." It will be the first seasonal event for "Destiny 2," and it will involve snowball fights and ice hockey, among many others. It will also redesign the social space to fit the holiday season.

"Destiny 2" has already been released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC version is slotted to be released at 1 p.m. EDT on Oct. 24.
