Like in any video game, resource is one of the most important aspects that could determine victory or defeat. Once this balance is toppled off, the whole game will eventually make no sense. A recent issue in Bungie's hit shooter video game "Destiny" points out to a glitch that allows players to obtain unlimited amounts of heavy-weapon ammo. This happens even in the Crucible, a report from Game Spo said.
According to the media outlet, the bug prompted the game studio to hold off the weekend's Trials of Osiris and the Iron Banner events. They are yet to announce when the highly-anticipated weekender events resume.
For the meantime, Bungie's David Dague took to the game's official website to offer his take on the recent glitch occurrence. In a statement, he said that, "We limit the deliveries of purple crates to the battlefield to make those explosive moments the highlight of a match."
Needless to say, the availability of such rare commodity basically offsets the excitement of the game as everyone can now virtually pull off the same trick at no holds barred.
This prompted the studio to once again do that "bug hunt."
"We've been waging an investigation into our code. These things happen, so please don't panic. We're on the case -- and we've slayed more dreaded bugs than these," Bungie updates.
As for those Guardians who were able to crack the code for their own benefits, Bungie won't be imposing any sort of punishment as the mistake comes from their end for the apparent weakness in the game system. However, they will see to it that such occurrences are to be restricted in favor for a holistic game experience.
Bungie is yet to announce when the Trials of Osiris or the Iron Banner event will return as they first have to deliver the fix. Fans are advised to stay tuned for more updates.
