Detroit Tigers vs San Francisco Giants Live Stream Free: Watch World Series Online Game 2

The Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants clash in Game 2 of the World Series on Thursday night, with the Giants coming into the game after giving one of their most impressive offensive performances of the season in Game 1. The game is scheduled to start at 8.07 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream via the link below.

Pablo Sandoval was too much for the Tigers to cope with in Game 1, and that combined with a huge game for Barry Zito on the mound, saw the Giants claim an emphatic 8-3 win to go 1-0 up in the seven game series.

The Tigers's weakness in the bullpen will once again surface following another poor display in Game 1, but they should not allow their heads to drop to much. Game 1 is gone, and there is still a long way to go in the series - a good performance tonight and everything will immediately look brighter. If they can tie the series back to 1-1 then they will have three consecutive games in Detroit to look forward to from Games 3 through 5. They could even potentially win the World Series without having to come back to San Francisco.

If the Tigers are to win tonight they will be looking to the likes of Austin Jackson, Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder to unsettle the Giants' pitchers. Looking at the line ups, the Tigers have much more depth in their offense - if they perform.

The Giants do have their big offensive players too, and with the likes of Sandoval and Buster Posey, no one would exactly consider their offense to be weak, but the depth of their speed and big hitters does not reach as far as that of the Tigers. However, of course Detroit must stop one of those players smashing three home runs!

Verlander was unable to produce the goods in Game 1 for the Tigers, and so Doug Fister will come in for Game 2 looking to get better results. Doug Fister registered the second-lowest home run rate for the Tigers this season at 0.84, so he should instill some confidence for the Detroit fans. However, it must also be remembered that Verlander had the number one-lowest home run rate ahead of Fister, but he was unable to replicate that form in Game 1 against the Giants.

Madison Bumgarner steps in for the Giants for Game 2, and will be hoping to reproduce some of his mid-season form where some pundits were boasting his performances were among the best in the entire MLB at the time. Since then he has gone off the boil slightly, but there's nothing like a World Series game to inspire players, and Bumgarner will need no extra motivation tonight.
