"One Church is a place where you can come to meet with God and hear a message that will inspire you to be a better person," McCoy said of the church in a Path Magazine report.

Franklin agreed, and also gave thanks to the church's leader, Pastor Toure Roberts.

"Tonight is a divine appointment," Franklin said in the Path Magazine report. "We thank God for Pastor Toure's heart to sow into others and help us demonstrate God's love on a daily basis."

Although the benefit raised funds for the One Church International's new West Hollywood location, proceeds from the concert also supported BrittiCares International to assist children with cancer and another organization supporting Newtown, Conn., children.

A number of people that attended the concert took to Twitter to comment about their experiences.
