Dianne Reidy Outburst: 'I Fulfilled God's Mission for Me,' Stenographer Says

Dianne Reidy, the House stenographer who made history by issuing an epic speech on the House floor this week has explained her actions, which she says were ordained by God and the Holy Spirit.

"For the past 2 and ½ weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me, through my reluctance and doubt, to deliver a message in the House Chamber," Reidy told Fox News in a statement. "That is what I did last night."

Reidy broke protocol and took control of the microphone, criticizing the government and the Constitution as well.

"He will not be mocked; He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here is this is one nation under God. It never was… the Constitution would not have been written by the Free Masons. They go against God," Reidy exclaimed. "You cannot serve two masters! Praise be to God, Lord Jesus."

The Sergeant-at-Arms removed Reidy from the floor, but she continued speaking. Security then took her to the hospital, where she was given a mental health evaluation and released.

"I'm glad that I fulfilled God's mission for me, absolutely. It lifted a tremendous burden. It was a very hard burden to carry, as you can imagine," Reidy told the New York Post.

"God was preparing her for this vote last night, because this was kind of the culmination of everything," husband Dan told the Post. "This was the big one. Everybody's there. And Dianne didn't know what she was sharing; she didn't know when, but she just sensed in her spirit. My wife is a sweet, level-headed wonderful woman of God. I am proud of her."

Dan went on to tell the Daily Beast about his wife's struggle with obeying the Spirit.

"The reason it took four weeks was because of her reluctance and doubt," he explained. "She didn't want to do it. If she had told me, 'I think God wants me to get up and say something,' I'd be the first one to say, 'No, you don't!'"

Yet now he is incredibly proud of what his wife did and fully supports her obedience to God and the Holy Spirit. Dianne plans to return to work on Tuesday and so far has heard nothing from her superiors to prevent her from doing so.
