Did Sarah Hyland Diss Carly Rae Jepsen?

Sarah Hyland who stars on "Modern Family" shared a candid reaction to Carly Rae Jepsen's new Broadway role on Twitter this week.

The 23-year-old actress portrays Haley Dunphy on ABC's hit comedy show and posted that she was "not okay" with Jepsen's Cinderella role on the Broadway production of the fairytale. 

On Monday, Hyland posted, "Today's a meltdown day. Carly Rae Jepsen is going to be Cinderella??? On broadway???? NOT OK WITH THIS. Tell me it's gonna be ok @LauraOsnes."

The actress mentioned Laura Osnes who is the actress Jepsen is replacing for 12 weeks beginning on Feb. 4.

"Hoping she will be amazing," Hyland added to Twitter of the Canadian singer. "I'm hesitant though…"

Hyland was immediately inundated with Twitter users' accusation of dissing the "Call Me Maybe" singer.

"To avoid anyone assuming things? My previous tweets do not mean that I'm not a Carly Rae Jepsen fan," Hyland explained to her Twitter followers. "The end."

Then, on Thursday, the actress posted, "People love to overanalyze things and try to bring hate into the world. Let's make 2014 a year of love, shall we?"

Meanwhile, Hyland just rang in the New Year with a different pop super star- Taylor Swift. The pair spent the holiday at Swift's Los Angeles home and shared several photos from the party.

"Ringing in 2014," Swift wrote on Instagram along with a photo of herself and Hyland dressed up.

Hyland posted her own photo, which featured herself, Swift, and the singer's white-and-gray cat Meredith.

"New Years with the best of the best @taylorswift," Hyland wrote in the caption. "I look scared… I think I should be."

Also in attendance during the New Year's Eve party was Hyland's longtime boyfriend, Matt Prokop.

Hyland stars on "Modern Family" alongside Sofia Vergara, Ed O'Neill, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Julie Bowen, among others.
