Dove Awards 2012 Lineup Announced

The 43rd Annual Gospel Music Association's Dove Awards has announced this year's performance lineup on Thursday.

The star-studded event will see top musical artists such as Lecrae, Natalie Grant, and Donnie McClurkin take the stage.

Audiences will enjoy a performance by "Adore Him" singer and two-time Dove Award-winner Kari Jobe as well.

Also announced Thursday, Jason Crabb, Jamie-Grace, Kim Burrell, and The Isaacs were revealed as the first round of artists confirmed to perform live during the ceremony.

"American Idol" break-out stars Danny Gokey, Ruben Studdard, Mandisa, and Jason Castro will also contribute their voices to the event.

The event's hosts have also been revealed as Daytime Emmy-nominated Chonda Pierce and comic writer David Mann.

Earlier this year, GMA and presenters such as Montell Jordan and Chonda Pierce announced the Dove Awards nominees of 2012.

Some of the awards and their nominees are as follows.

Nominated for Song of the Year are artists Natalie Grant, Laura Story, the Perrys, Casting Crowns, and Jamie Grace, among others.

Up for Female Vocalist of the Year are Francesca Battistelli, Kari Jobe, Laura Story, Mandisa, and Natalie Grant.

Malek Vocalist of the year nominees are Christ August, Chris Tomlin, Jason Crabb, Kirk Franklin, and Steven Curtis Chapman.

The GMA Dove Awards will take place on April 19 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The awards ceremony will be nationally televised on GMC April 24 at 8 p.m. EST.

"The GMA Dove Awards represent Gospel and Christian music's biggest night of the year and there is better place for the broadcast of this event than GMC TV, America's home for the best in uplifting music and entertainment," said President and CEO of GMC Charles Humbard in a press release. "We are proud to host this celebration at the Fox Theatre, one of America's premiere venues here in our home town, Atlanta."
