Dwayne Johnson Serious About Running for U.S. Presidency in 2024?
"President Rock" might just be real in 2024. Earlier this week, "Fast and Furious" actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed that he'll consider running for the U.S. presidency seven years from now.
In 2016, Johnson said in jest that he was considering a career in politics in the future. Now, it looks like he is no longer just joking about it. In a recent interview, the actor said he will consider running "100%." "I couldn't do both ... Realistically, as we go into 2018, when you look at my slate as we're developing and shooting into 2019 and 2020, the slate goes deep into 2021, so it feels like the realistic consideration would be 2024," he said.
Since Johnson is busy promoting "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" and still has several projects lined up over the coming years, the actor cannot possibly run for office in the next U.S. presidential elections, which is in 2020. However, he'll be done working on his major projects by 2021, so it is safe to assume that he's talking about running for the 2024 elections.

According to The Rock, the idea of running for the presidential elections started out of the blue. He said he's well aware of the fact that politics is not the business he's in, so the best thing he can do is continuing to listen and learn as much as he can. "I'm continuing to watch our presidency and watch how every new development is handled," he stated.
Johnson went on to say that he'll continue to watch their leaders in government, and like all Americans, to hope that their leaders exhibit poise, perspective and the ability to bring their country together during these tough times, which he said he doesn't feel their presidency is currently doing.
Fans of Johnson will know in the coming years if he's really serious about running for the presidency.
