Rumors were sparked earlier this week when reports ran the Nordegren and Dingman were scene enjoying a play off hockey game. The friend however, claims that the former Sweedish model was not even at the game.

Instead the model has been busy working towards a degree in psychology while also overseeing the construction of a new $12 million home which was paid for out of the $100 million divorce settlement she received in 2010. News about Nordegren seeking a divorce from Woods was revealed after it was discovered that he had participated in multiple affairs.

Nordergren will move into the house with her two kids from her previous marriage. The model previously intended to restore a 1920's house that was already located on the Florida property when she was instructed by her architect to simply start over. Meanwhile, the family is living in a nearby rental home while Nordergren attends Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.

As far as rumors go, Nordergren's friend suggests that the model finds the strange speculations about her in the media humorous.

"Elin finds it hilarious to read news about her that people make up," the friend told People magazine.
