Evelyn Lozada Finished With 'Basketball Wives,' Ready for Spinoff?

Evelyn Lozada, the 37-year-old star of "Basketball Wives," may not be interested in returning to the hit VH1 reality television show, according to new rumors, and may instead involve herself with a spin-off from the popular show.

Lozada has said, "I signed on to do five seasons and this is our fifth. I don't really see me doing a sixth season. I know I can carry my own show, pretty much carried this one," according to The Huffington Post.

Still, it seems she would be willing to star in a spin off series.

"I would do my own show because I know I would have creative control. I'm in a different space," she said. "I'm open to doing a spin-off, but just not with a cast of women."

While Lozada has been vocal about her Christian faith as of late, she made headlines last year for a short-lived marriage to former NFL star Chad Johnson before their union ended in domestic violence.

The reality television star spent much of the season five debut of "Basketball Wives," which was filmed last year, in tears recounting the incident.

The reality television star has previously revealed some of the ventures that she would like to pursue after her stint on the show.

"I really don't [see myself doing this forever]. I see myself working behind the scenes - whether it's working on my books or doing stuff on TV shows," Lozada revealed to Latina magazine recently. "I really want to have a family. And if that presented itself to me, I would probably just enjoy the moment because I feel like, with my daughter, it went by so fast!"

While the past four seasons of "Basketball Wives" showcased Lozada as an antagonist on the series, she has changed her tune.

"I made a promise last season to just be a better example," she recently told Huffington Post. "I stay calm because I think about the previous season when I acted an (expletive), and it just wasn't a good look for me, so I think about that."
