Evelyn Lozada Reveals Why She Didn't Want to Do Basketball Wives Reunion

Evelyn Lozada, the 37-year-old star of "Basketball Wives," is explaining why she refused to take part in this season's reunion show after media headlines surfaced about the special episode from past seasons would be canceled.

After much of her storyline in season five of the show revolved around a domestic dispute between she and ex-husband Chad Johnson, Lozada let it be known that she was tired of speaking about the former NFL star.

"I just feel it's a little unfair for all parties involved including family to keep reliving the incident," Lozada told blogger B. Scott recently. "I don't want to keep beating a dead horse! I just want to move on with my life and I'm sure he does too. This happened over a year ago… so old news."

Lozada may not be interested in returning to the hit VH1 reality television show, according to new rumors, and may instead involve herself with a spin-off from the popular show. Lozada has said, "I signed on to do five seasons and this is our fifth. I don't really see me doing a sixth season. I know I can carry my own show, pretty much carried this one," according to The Huffington Post.

Still, it seems she would be willing to star in a spin off series.

"I would do my own show because I know I would have creative control. I'm in a different space," she said. "I'm open to doing a spin-off, but just not with a cast of women."

The reality television star has previously revealed some of the ventures that she would like to pursue after her stint on the show.

"I really don't [see myself doing this forever]. I see myself working behind the scenes - whether it's working on my books or doing stuff on TV shows," Lozada revealed to Latina magazine recently. "I really want to have a family. And if that presented itself to me, I would probably just enjoy the moment because I feel like, with my daughter, it went by so fast!"
