Evelyn Lozada recently shared intimate details about her wedding day and her dress, and the reality star says that being married has not altered her relationship.

Lozada, 35, married her boyfriend of one year Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson in a private ceremony on July 4 and the "Basketball Wives" star admits that she became nervous after a natural disaster threatened to ruin their special day.

"There was an earthquake on our wedding day!" Lozada told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. "We were in the Caribbean on the island St. Maartin, I didn't even think they had earthquakes there."

The private event, which was filmed for the couple's upcoming vh1 reality TV show "Ev and Ocho," was held at the Le Chateau des Palmiers beachfront in the Caribbean despite reports that the ceremony was held in Miami.

"I can't say if we had any wild animals there, that was a huge bone of contention and you'll have to wait and see it on the show," Lozada said.

The reality star wore a strapless Ines Di Santo wedding dress with a matching veil and the design featured unique patterns and beading. Johnson, 34, appeared relaxed alongside his blushing bride. The NFL star was dressed in a traditional tuxedo with spiky gold shoes.

"[The dress] had a hint of blue to match Chad because he had a blue suit on," Lozada said.

The newlyweds reportedly met on social networking site Twitter in 2010, and four months later Johnson proposed and presented Lozada with a 10-carat diamond engagement ring. She says that marriage has not changed their relationship.

"We're just the same as we were before, it definitely lives up to my expectations but hasn't been hard to adapt to," Lozada explained.

"I am just happy to be able to relax and have life slow down. I was so busy before planning the wedding and filming, it's good to have some downtime finally!" she added.
