Fallout 4 Release Date, Latest Rumors: Speculation Debunked By Game Director

Todd Howard, the game director for Bethesda, has debunked the growing rumors of an ongoing development for Fallout 4.

When asked about the alleged casting documents leaked by Kotaku, Howard answered, "We don't [have a timeframe for our next game announcement], but I think it's gonna be a while."

Confirmation rumors actually started from a Reddit user named GNR_Informant. His claims are allegedly based on GNR_Informant source, Bethesda's public relation office.

The claims include that the setting of the fourth installment will be in Boston, that it will have more buildings and it would be "a kind of" direct sequel to its predecessor. The theme would also be in line with "cyberpunk and retro-futurism."

The new game is also said to feature Androids and players could even expect other new races.
It is also purportedly claimed that the studio will introduce a new leveling system more similar to that of Skyrim where once missions are done, the player's skills will level up.

Further rumors indicate that the game's release will be in fall of next year and it could possibly be revealed during E3 2015. A report from KDramaStars apparently signifies that the Fallout 4 will roll out for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.

When asked about these speculations, Howard replied, "We've gotten fairly used to all the questions and curiosity over the years."

"Everyone wants information. Right now, we're just trying to figure out which of our ideas are going to stick and finding an appropriate time to talk about it," the game director added.

Bethesda Studios are currently getting their hands on the Doom 4 project and other upcoming video game titles like The Evil Within, BattleCry, and Prey 2.
