Farrah Abraham Completes DUI Alcohol Education Course, Still must Serve Probation, Pay Fines

Farrah Abraham recently completed an alcohol education course as part of her plea deal for her DUI charge, but she still has to serve probation and pay fines before the charges will be dropped.

Back in March Abraham was cited for drunk driving in Nebraska after the young mother failed a field sobriety test. Her 4-year-old daughter was not in the car at the time of her arrest.

TMZ reported that Abraham failed her field sobriety test miserably, blowing a 0.147, which is nearly twice the legal limit. She has yet to make a statement about the arrest.

Abraham agreed to a plea deal with the Douglas County District Attorney's office. She will have her license suspended for a time and pay $500 in fines, but she will not serve any jail time. The charges of disorderly conduct and refusing to take a field sobriety test will be dropped, TMZ reported.

The single mother initially said that she was on medication at the time of the arrest and that they had caused her to act out of sorts.

"It was St. Patrick's Day and I was out with my sister," Abraham told In Touch Weekly. "I did not plan to drink because I was sick, so I took the role of being in charge and making sure my sister and I would return home together and safely. At 10 p.m. I tried to leave, and at that time, my sister was not ready to leave, so I had been sipping on drinks to pass the time."

"When I was parked, a police officer asked me what I was doing, so I told him I was worried about my sister and I was trying to go home. They insisted on the regular questions and asked me to get out of the car," Abraham explained. "I got out of the car and because I was upset, I yelled."
