A Pennsylvania man who allegedly raped and sodomized his girlfriend, ripping out a portion of her insides in the process while under the influence of an illegal party drug known as "Molly," says he isn't worried about criminal charges for his actions because "I have Jesus on my side."

According to a report in the Pocono Record the man, Emmanuel Paulino, 29, of West Hazleton, Pa., was arrested shortly after 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Paulino's victim says she had agreed to have sex with him that morning but he suddenly "freaked out" then grabbed her by the neck and began choking her, according to citizensvoice.com.

While still choking his girlfriend, Paulino reportedly pushed his fist into the screaming woman's anus who begged him to "get out" noted the Record. He only stopped after one of the woman's minor children walked into the bedroom.

When police arrived on the scene they found Paulino's girlfriend curled up in in the fetal position, on the floor of her bedroom. Blood flowed "profusely" from her torso and she had bruising around her eyes, notes court documents. She was then rushed to Hazleton General Hospital and had to be flown from there to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Paulino, who also head-butted an officer while he was being taken in for questioning, subsequently admitted to police that he put his hand inside his girlfriend "and pulled something out. I pulled out something sticky that stuck to my hand," according to court papers reviewed by the Record. That something, says forensic pathologist Dr. Gary Ross, has been identified as stomach tissue.

He also told police that he took six doses of Molly, described by drugfree.org as the powder or crystal form of MDMA, the same chemical used in Ecstasy.

Police charged Paulino with felonies covering two counts each of aggravated assault and aggravated indecent assault. He was also charged with one count each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault. In addition he faces misdemeanors simple assault and indecent assault.

As he walked into his arraignment Tuesday night, Paulino told reporters that he wasn't worried about the charges, because "I have Jesus on my side."

In the courtroom, however, Magisterial District Judge James Dixon told him: "After hearing remarks from the trooper and also looking at the charges, I believe you may pose a danger to our community." He then set bail for the New York City born man, who said he is a father of four, at $250,000. He is expected to return for a preliminary hearing at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 27.
