Fono Loses Studio to San Diego Fires

Fono sent out a note to the band’s mailing list to sadly report that they have lost their studio and masters to their new record, originally planned to be released next year.

They wrote:

"Some of you may have seen the fires that have swept through southern California and San Diego on the news. During those fires our studio was burned to the ground. We visited the studio yesterday after fires subsided in that area and we have lost everything, the whole studio was ash. We have lost all our band equipment, all our recording equipment and most unfortunately all the masters for the new Fono record. We are all devastated, but glad that our families and friends are all safe and well. In light of this we will be disappearing for a while to regroup. Our hearts go out to all the people who have lost their homes and loved ones to this tragic fire."

Fono’s music style is high energy rock’n’roll. The British band was initially called “Steven” and produced their first album High And Wired in 1995. Their first booking was to open up for Bon Jovi at the Milton Keynes Bowl, in same city where they the band first began.
