Frankel Custody Battle: Bethenny Cries During Testimony Against Jason Hoppy

Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy's bitter custody battle rages on as another hearing left Frankel in tears this week.

The former spouses were married for two years and share a four-year-old daughter, Bryn. While Frankel seeks primary custody of her daughter, Hoppy wants joint custody. The court battles began at the start of the former couple's very public break up, but the hearing on Wednesday, May 28 took a particularly vicious turn, according to reports.

During a tearful testimony, Frankel recounted Hoppy's allegedly threatening words to her: "He said, 'I'm going to destroy you. I'm going to have you and your publicist crying and crumbling in a corner. Now you're going to see what I was like on the basketball court,'" People.com reported.

The 43-year-old entrepreneur went on to recall more of Hoppy's threats before breaking down into tears.

"He said, 'You don't know what it's like to have a family, you'll never have a family. Let's go baby,'" Frankel continued in the New York City courtroom on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Frankel claimed that Hoppy's menacing statements even reached their daughter's ears.

"He would say, 'Mommy should be Ursula the witch. She's a great witch. You be the princess, I'll be the prince, Mommy will be the witch,'" the talk show host said through tears.

As the custody hearing wore on, both parents of Bryn lobbied their parenting abilities while accusing one another of a thirst for fame. Frankel and Hoppy married in march 2010 in a romance chronicled on "Bethenny Ever After." However, the pair called it quits in December of 2012.

Over the past year, Frankel has remained mostly mum on the custody struggle. Nevertheless, an insider told E! News that the television personality "has a lot on her plate right now."

"She's just trying to chug along," the source added.
