Serena Williams vs Maria Sharapova in the French Open 2013 final takes place from Roland Garros on Saturday, and Sharapova will be up against it to beat Williams and defend her French Open title. The match can be watched online through free live stream via the link provided below.

Sharapova has a terrible record against Williams, and amazingly has not beaten her since 2004. She has lost her past 12 matches against her and Williams will be the huge favorite to rush through the game and claim victory.

However, the French Open has been one of the most elusive from Williams and she has not always had things her way there. She will need to focus and make sure she is at the top of her game to win through today.

Williams is in great form, winning her past 30 matches coming into this match, and she recently defeated Sharapova on clay in straight sets, meaning psychologically she will have the edge.

Sharapova has said, "I'd be lying if I said it doesn't bother me. I don't think that it would be a pretty competitive statement if I said it didn't. I would love to change that around. Obviously whatever I did in the past hasn't worked, so I'll have to try to do something different and hopefully it will."

Sharapova has said ahead of the match: "I don't feel like I have taken my chances and opportunities [against Williams].

"When she is up all the time, whether it's a break or if she feels like she's constantly getting second serves or is able to rip every ball because there's nothing on your ball - she does extremely well when she's in that position. Why shouldn't she?"

She added, "Against a player like her, the few chances that you have can change that around, because they put a little bit more in their mind than if they're just steamrolling."
