Galaxy Note 2 Release Date Coming Soon for T-Mobile Customers

The Galaxy Note 2 release date should be coming soon for T-Mobile customers.

A ROM for the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy Note 2 was discovered yesterday. The ROM allows the smartphone-tablet hybrid to run Android 4.1, JellyBean and was compiled on Sept. 15. Samsung is still testing the software in hopes to have it ready for an official launch of the device.

There has not been any official release date announced for the Galaxy Note 2 for T-Mobile, however, it should be sometime next month since the rest of the major carriers appear to be releasing it around that time.

The carrier's variant is classified under the model number SGH-T889 and will pack the same specs as the international Galaxy Note 2.

The Galaxy Note 2 release date on AT&T will be on on Oct. 21, according to the latest reports.

A trusted source for the company recently spoke to BGR regarding the smartphone-tablet hybrid's launch on the carrier.

The Note 2 is expected to be picked up by all four of the major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Pictures of the Big Red variant of the Galaxy S3 leaked recently show the Verizon and Galaxy Note 2 logo on the device's backing.

Hints at a Sprint Galaxy Note 2 recently surfaced as well. reported that an XDA user found a Sprint RDF otherwise known as a device profile that matches up to the specs on the Galaxy Note 2. There also is said to be further confirmation out there for the device coming to the carrier.

The specs in the profile included an Exynos4412 processor, a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Android 4.1.1, JellyBean, support for EVDO, DOrA, Wi-Fi, LTE, and 2GB RAM.

Specifications on the Galaxy Note 2 include a quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal memory, Android 4.1, JellyBean, and 2GB RAM. Both lists seem to be pretty close, so there is a good chance that Sprint could be testing its very own version of the device at this time.
