Galaxy Note 2 Release Date Confirmed for Oct. 21 on AT&T

The Galaxy Note 2 release date on AT&T will take place on Oct. 21, according to the latest reports.

A trusted source for the company recently spoke to BGR regarding the smartphone-tablet hybrid's launch on the carrier.

The Note 2 is expected to be picked up by all four of the major U.S. carriers including Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.

Pictures of the Big Red variant of the Galaxy S3 leaked earlier today displaying the Verizon and Galaxy Note 2 logo on the device's backing.

Hints at a Sprint Galaxy Note 2 recently surfaced as well. reported that an XDA user found a Sprint RDF otherwise known as a device profile that matches up to the specs on the Galaxy Note 2. There also is said to be further confirmation out there for the device coming to the carrier.

The specs in the profile included an Exynos4412 processor, a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Android 4.1.1, JellyBean, support for EVDO, DOrA, Wi-Fi, LTE, and 2GB RAM.

Specifications on the Galaxy Note 2 include a quad-core 1.6 GHz processor, 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal memory, Android 4.1, JellyBean, and 2GB RAM. Both lists seem to be pretty close, so there is a good chance that Sprint could be testing its very own version of the device at this time.

Samsung is also expected to release a dual-SIM version of the Galaxy Note 2 in China.

This device will feature the same 5.5-inch display and specs, however, it will allow users to use regular sized SIM cards or micro SIM cards as both slots can be seen in a picture of the smartphone-tablet hybrid.

The Chinese version features the specifications from the International version.

The dual-SIM model will arrive on China Unicom and pricing and availability have not been announced yet.
