Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat Update Now Available Through Rogers in Canada

Galaxy S4 owners through Rogers Wireless in Canada will finally have access to the Android 4.4, KitKat update.

The software weighs in at 414.46MB and can be accessed OTA (over-the-air). Users who haven't received a notification to download it can check the Settings menu.

The Galaxy S4 Android 4.4.2, KitKat update is now rolling out to T-Mobile customers in the U.S.

The update is now available over-the-air and weighs in at 388MB. It brings a modified version of Android KitKat OS with a few Samsung specific tweets.

It will bring improved stability, a new camera shortcut on the lock screen and a better on-screen keyboard. The update can also be downloaded manually through Samsung KIES. T-Mobile suggests that those downloading KitKat to their phone should be running the latest version of KIES. The device should also have about 50 percent charge since installation can be draining. Smartphones must already be running Android 4.3 in order to get 4.4.

The Galaxy S4 Android 4.4, KitKat also rolled out for AT&T customers earlier this month.

That update is 417.66MB and must be downloaded using a Wi-Fi connection. Once the update is installed, users will finally have the latest Android build.

The software has already arrived for U.S. Cellular customers as the company began offering it OTA (over-the-air) last week with several customers confirming they received it successfully.

It is also available for the International variant of the Galaxy S4 in Russia and India. Users can check for it manually if they haven't received a notification in the Settings menu.

The company released a list of those that will upgrade via press release earlier this year that included the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy Light, Galaxy Note 8.0, Galaxy Tab 3, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition.
