Galaxy S5 U.S. Release Date Still Not Available, Device to Come with $600 Worth of Goods

The Galaxy S5 release date for most U.S. carriers still has not been confirmed, but the device will launch sometime in April.

Samsung did confirm that it will release the new smartphone with $600 worth of apps and subscriptions.

"We are continually looking for the best partners to help us expand and enhance the mobile experience for our dedicated users," said JK Shin, CEO and president of IT & mobile division in a press statement. "The Galaxy S5 was designed to offer consumers the most advanced tool to help improve their everyday lives."

The Galaxy S5 cases and covers were recently posted up on the U.K.-based accessories retailer MobileFun.

The extras for the phone were first displayed by Samsung at MWC, however, the company did not announce pricing information. MobileFun provided this in the posting.

It featured four different accessories for the Galaxy S5 including the Hard Case Cover in grey which will cost €24.49, the Flip Wallet Cover in various color for €36.99, the S-View Cover Case in multiple colors for €54.99, and the S View Wireless Charging Cover in white or black for €66.99.

MobileFun's shipping times are listed as two months. Some of these covers with cost close to $100 in the U.S.

T-Mobile seems to be generating a lot of interest for the Galaxy S5 as 300,000 people have already pre-registered for more information on the device.

The company revealed this impressive number via Twitter earlier this week.

"This just in! #GalaxyS5 pre-registrations at @T-Mobile now over 300k! HUGE!," said Des, T-Mobile senior product guy.
