George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin tied the knot over the weekend and in-laws openly expressed their desire for the couple to start a family.

The Hollywood actor, 53, and the British human rights lawyer, 36, reportedly wrote their own vows which were read under an arch of white roses at Venice's Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Italy. After the intimate ceremony, they partied the night away with loved ones.

"Clooney held Amal's hand when saying part of his vows," a source told Us magazine.

Guests, which included Hollywood stars like Sandra Bullock and Matt Damon, feasted on a five-course meal including lobster, risotto, sea bass, and beef, while canapés included prosciutto and figs.

Family and friends reportedly passed the microphone around while saying kind words about the couple and Ramzi Alamuddin, who is Clooney's father-in-law, suggested that they start trying for a baby.

"Now it's time for grandchildren!" he was quoted as telling the newlyweds during his speech.

A total of 90 guests were in attendance, including Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour, which fueled reports that wedding photos were sold to the leading fashion publication.

Insiders claim Clooney and Alamuddin, who are both passionate about philanthropy, sold photo rights to Vogue in exchange for a donation to a charity of their choice. Earlier this month Clooney's dear friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sold their wedding photos to two outlets (HELLO! And People magazines) for $2.5 million each. They are believed to have donated every penny to charity.

"Brad and Angelina knew there would be tremendous interest in their wedding pictures, and decided to donate the money to their charitable foundation. The couple has done this numerous times in the past," a source told RadarOnline.com.

Pitt and Jolie were not photographed at Clooney's wedding, however, it is unclear as to whether or not they actually attended.

Clooney and Alamuddin were photographed the morning after their wedding and appeared hand-in-hand. The couple smiled for paparazzi and waved to onlookers while making their way to their honeymoon on water taxis.
