'Gran Turismo Sport' Review: On the Stunning Visuals and the Lackluster Aspects

Developed by Polyphony Digital, "Gran Turismo Sport" is one of the most highly anticipated game titles in the community. Considering how the previous installment was released three years ago, fans are expecting a lot from the upcoming installment. With its release last Oct. 17, fans would like to know if the long wait was worth it. Here are what critics have to say about "Gran Turismo Sport."

According to a review by Forbes, there is a lot of good in the latest "Gran Turismo" installment. For one, three years did a good job in improving the visuals of the "Gran Turismo Sport." The gaming community might be challenged to find another title that offers the same level of visuals as this one, as it showcases the full 4K and HDR abilities of the PlayStation 4 Pro.

"Gran Turismo Sport" offers the best handling that arguably any racing game can offer. The sound effects for everything that happens in the car were also on point, which contributes to the authentic experience that it offers.

Meanwhile, Ars Technica pointed out the downsides of "Gran Turismo Sport." Apparently, fans of virtual reality might be disappointed with the render of the game, as it is not as engaging as it was expected to be. The game title is also limited to the online platform, which means that fans will not have access to it offline. Compared to the multiplayer mode, the single-player dimension is lackluster at best. And finally, the in-car views still need a lot of improvement, which will hopefully be addressed in a patch.

"Gran Turismo" is a racing video game that was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was designed by Kazunori Yamauchi, and it was released for PlayStation 4 for the price tag of $59.99. Despite its flaws, most of the critics agree that the price is worth it.
