'Grey's Anatomy' Season 14 Premiere, Cast News, Spoilers: Greg Germann Joins Cast; Bailey and Ben to Break Up?

"Ally McBeal" alum Greg Germann will join "Grey's Anatomy" this season 14 as one of the new doctors in Grey Sloan. Meanwhile, are Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Ben (Jason George) breaking up?

Details about Germann's character is being kept under wraps, but he will join the drama series as Tom Koracick and will be first introduced in the episode titled, "Go Big or Go Home," E! News reports.

The episode Germann will appear in is the third episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 14. However, on the episode listing on The Futon Critic, there's no mention yet of Germann's character.

Meanwhile, Bailey and Ben might be breaking up when "Grey's Anatomy" returns with season 14.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that George will be starring in a "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off that centers on the life of firefighters. He will be joining Jaina Lee Ortiz on the upcoming Shondaland series, who will serve as his leading lady.

However, a recent interview with George at the Entertainment Weekly bash last Friday for the 2017 Emmy Awards, the actor revealed that his character's relationship with Bailey could still continue through series crossovers.

"There will definitely be crossovers between 'Grey's' and the spinoff show... Bailey can come home and fall into bed, and there's Ben, and they can talk about their day. Or Ben comes home from fighting fires all day and falls into bed, and there's Bailey," George said to TVLine, being hopeful about his character's marriage.

George adds that he'll accept Bailey getting mad at his character for wanting to leave med school and join the firefighters as long as they keep their marriage grounded.

"I've come to really love their relationship. I'm proud of it. They're grown-ass people with grown-ass problems who work it out no matter what," said the actor.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 14 is slated to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
