'Grimm' Season 5 News: David Giuntoli Confirms 'No Time Jump' In the Upcoming Premiere

The cast members of NBC's hit supernatural TV drama series "Grimm" recently sat down with TV Line's correspondent, Michael Ausiello, to talk about the show's upcoming Season 5.

After the jokes and laughter shared during the conversation, TV Line asked as to how the show will return; will it feature a time-jump in the premiere?

David Giuntoli confirmed that there won't be any time jump "whatsoever" in the season opener.

"No time jump whatsoever," the actor who plays the eponymous Grimm said. He explained that fans will see him exactly where the Season 4 finale left off – cradling Juliette's (Bitsie Tulloch) dead body.

Castmate Silas Weir Mitchell (who plays Monroe) chimed in to say that "we'll start immediately where we left off."

Giuntoli went on to mention about an "immense new storyline" which co-star Bree Turner (as Rosalee Calvert) considered as a "total shift" of the show.

"There is no BS-kind of reboot going on," Giuntoli explained further.

It was also found out during the interview that hardcore fans of the show will find Season 5 featuring the "old school mythology stuff" mixed with surprising new elements including what co-actor Reggie Lee (as Sergeant Drew Wu) revealed, a stronger presence of the FBI.

"It's a new world, it's a government thing, but it is still rooted in the show's mythology," Mitchell explained. "It's a big turn but then it's true to the show, I think."

"Grimm" Season 5 is set to premiere on Oct. 30 on NBC.
