"Nothin like some Hawaiian sun after hard work!!!" tweeted a slimmed down Panettiere on April 6.

Paparazzi snapped photos of Panettiere playing tennis with her athletic beau at the Ritz Carton in Hawaii.

"She's so competitive," a source at the Ritz-Carlton told Us Weekly.

"She wanted to beat Scotty on every stroke. If she missed, she was upset with herself, but then would laugh. And Scotty would run over to the net and kiss her," the source added.

More paparazzi photos show the two cuddling in a hammock and Panettiere sitting with her mom.

As The Huffington Post notes, Panettiere was just one of several female celebrities to take to the beach in their bikinis recently. Singer Beyonce Knowles was photographed enjoying a spring vacation in St. Barts with husband Jay Z on April 10, and "Battleship" actress Brooklyn Decker was spotted sitting hotel poolside in Sydney, Australia on April 10.

Panettiere, a human rights activist, was visiting Hawaii to volunteer for the Pacific Whale Foundation.

Panettiere gained fame through the NBC series "Heroes," and McKnight is the wide receiver for the New York Jets.

The couple met through mutual friend and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, 25, and will be celebrating their one year anniversary in June.
