Muffin tins have served many purposes over the years, almost all of which involved, well, cooking muffins. For some time, few had a better idea for what to do with them.

One fellow, however, decided that muffin tins were not just useful for cooking, but also as sleeping quarters for pygmy hedgehogs.

Serving up a helping of total animal cuteness, the video shows the little critters gradually waking up, like a rising of the baked good's top.

Since its uploading earlier this month, the cuteness overdrive that is the hedgehog muffin video has garnered over 566,000 views and more than 690 likes.

It has also gotten about a dozen dislikes, presumably from Doctor Eggman Robotnik and his vile henchmen trying to protect their rings.
