Hilary Duff Reveals Gender of Baby on 'Ellen DeGeneres'

Hilary Duff has announced that she is having a baby boy, while appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

“I haven’t told anyone yet. I just found out,” said Duff, adding that she is “a little over four months” along in her pregnancy.

The episode is slated to air Monday.

Duff opened up about her pregnancy to DeGeneres and shared how she broke the news to her husband, Mike Comrie.

“It’s kind of like a little alien has taken over your body,” Duff described. “You just don’t quite feel normal. But it’s cool. It’s been good.”

Duff and hockey player Comrie wed in August. According to Duff, the 31-year-old is thrilled about the baby.

“My husband makes this joke that I think I’m pregnant like 12 times a year. Ever since we got married, he’s like, you always think this…” Duff said.

The former Disney star informed her husband that she was pregnant while he was in the shower and the couple broke into tears.

“We were just like a mess… It was really exciting,” Duff told DeGeneres.

The Associated Press reported that Duff was expecting a boy the entire time, and that the star feels like she still has things to prove in Hollywood – despite having starred on “Lizzie McGuire” and leading a successful music career with five studio albums.

Duff recently released another installment to her book series, “Elixir.” The best-selling novelist just released “Devoted,” the second book in the trilogy.

“To put a book out was huge,” said Duff. “To hear people be like, ‘I didn’t want to give you much credit but I love this book.’ It’s an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness and relief.”

Lindsay Pulsipher of HBO’s “True Blood” recently replaced Duff in the upcoming film “Bonnie and Clyde” after the expecting actress dropped out.
