'Homeland' Season 4 Release Date, Cast Rumors: 3 New Actors to Join Hit Show

Six-time Emmy Award-winning TV "Homeland" continues to expand its cast, adding three names for the upcoming fourth season as filming proceeds in South Africa, according to reports.

"Mad Men" alum Mark Moses will play a "debauched expat" named Dennis, an "academic teaching political science at Islamabad's Quaid-I-Azam University," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Indian actress Numbrat Kaur's character will be a "high-level operative within Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence." Meanwhile, "True Lies" actor Art Malik will play a "retired Pakistani general named Bunran 'Bunny' Latif." Latif, as revealed will be an old friend of Saul Berenson, played by Mandy Patinkin.

"Homeland" viewers will also see other recurring stars in the coming season like Corey Stoll (to play a Pakistani CIA station chief), Laila Robins, and Suraj Sharma (as Aayan Ibrahim, a Pakistani medical student).

Showrunner Alex Gansa recently spoke in an interview at the 2014 Summer TV Press Tour about the changes that are to be expected in the show including putting more focus on Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes.

"We put a character at the center of that -- a compelling character, hopefully, in Carrie Mathison -- to really identify the personal costs of the journey. But there also is a national cost to our policies, in Afghanistan and Pakistan specifically," Gansa said.

"I think emotionally she has stabilized. The mental illness we have dealt with, she has now dealt with," the executive producer added.

"Homeland," which is scheduled to return Oct. 5, is currently shooting for its forthcoming season in South Africa.
