The Houston Rockets will go on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night as the Rockets look to improve on their current .500 record. The game is scheduled to tip off at 10 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream via the link below.

The Rockets have had a stuttering start to the season; following two straight wins in their opening games against Detroit and Atlanta, they suffered three straight losses against Portland, Denver and Memphis. They come into this game with a 4-4 record and will be seeing this game as an opportunity to claim a confidence boosting win over a troubled Portland team.

These teams of course met on Nov. 3, and Portland claimed an overtime win to spark the Rockets' three game losing streak. In that tight game Portland came out on top with a 95-85 win, after outscoring the Rockets 14-4 in overtime.

That loss broke a four game winning streak for the Rockets over Portland; last season the Rockets swept the season series 3-0 for the first time since 2007-2008.

That last overtime game played between Portland and Houston earlier this month marked the second consecutive overtime game played between the two teams in Houston, and it was the third overtime game played between the Rockets and Trail Blazers the last five seasons.

In Houston's last game they won 100-96 against New Orleans. In that game the Rockets actually were forced to hold on for the win with the Hornets taking a 21-point deficit in the game down to just two points (98-96) with just 1:49 left in the fourth quarter. The way in which Houston almost gave up such a big lead will have alarmed Rockets' fans and they will be hoping for a tighter defensive display tonight.
