BGR reported last week that the new software would roll out exactly two weeks after the release of the third beta. The site believed Apple would take less time in between this release than it did between the second and third version

The previous beta brought several changes including a new version of Find My Friends, a new Apple TV beta, and updates to Swift. It also comes with improved integration with OS X through Continuity, a Health app, Family Sharing features, interactive notifications, a new QuickType Keyboard and improvements to several apps such as Safari, Mail and Messages.

Several tweaks were made to the operating system in that version as new options for iCloud Drive, a new Settings toggle for Handoff, and a new option to enable or disable QuickType were added. The weather app and some new wallpapers were also made available.

iCloud Drive can be downloaded through a new popup window in beta 3 and the latest version of Find My Friends allows users to move their friends list to their iCloud account.

The upcoming iPhone 6 is expected to be released in September. iOS 8 will be officially introduced through that device. Apple first introduced the software during WWDC earlier this year. It will be available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch lines when it finally launches.
