iPhone 5 Release Date: Siri Gives Answer to 'The Meaning of Life'

Apple's iPhone 4S Siri, when asked "What is the meaning of life?" answers back with a quite comedic answer.

After being asked this much requested question, Siri answered back with this: "I don't know, but I think there's an app for that." As it turns out, Siri doesn't know everything.

The most prominent and revered feature for the iPhone 4S is its Siri voice recognition capabilities. This new feature allows users to control their smartphone by talking directly to them.

Apple's Siri feature allows users to ask questions to the iPhone 4S, including “Will it rain in Cupertino" or "Do I need an umbrella today?"

The voice recognition has the ability to recognize a question in more than a few different ways.

Siri is able to recognize much more natural phrases, unlike the "iPhone 4's" prior voice control system.

Apple officially bills Siri as an "intelligent assistant that helps you get things done, just by asking.”

Users must hold down the home button on the iPhone 4S for a few seconds in order for it to launch. Once it's up and running, users can tell their smartphone to make phone calls, send text messages or e-mail, schedule meetings and reminders, make notes, search the Internet, find local businesses and get directions.

Users can also get answers, find facts and even perform complex calculations just by asking their smartphone.

Apple's "iPhone 4S" smartphone model is getting rave reviews from bloggers and industry analysts for its innovative Siri voice recognition feature.

Siri is the "standout feature," said Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal.

New York Times reviewer David Pogue stated it is a "crazy good, transformative, category-redefining speech recognition."

According to 9to5Mac, the feature may also become compatible with Apple TV in the near future.

Cross Research analyst Shannon Cross One said, "One interesting application of the Siri technology would be with Apple TV. We think this would solve the industry’s difficulties with remote controls … We think it would be very compelling to own a TV or a device that could quickly answer the request."

Cross points out the convenience Siri would bring to watching television in the future.

Siri's capabilities are seemingly endless.
