iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S Pre-Orders Available Today: Best Prices, Savings and Deals

The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S are now available for pre-order from Apple, various carriers like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, and retailers like Wal-Mart, Best Buy and others. The phones, which replace last year's iPhone 5, became available at 12:01 a.m. today, but customers should shop around to get the very best deals, which are featured below.

The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S are the inexpensive and premium versions of the iPhone 5, respectively. Apple's price for the iPhone 5C 16GB is $99 with a two-year contract, and the 32GB version is $199 with a two-year contract as well. The iPhone 5S 16GB starts at $199 with a two-year contract, with the 32GB and 64GB versions costing $299 and $399, respectively.

U.S., Canada, and many European customers who pre-order today will receive the phones Sept. 20. which is the same day the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S become available in stores worldwide.

Still, there are ways to find both iPhones at cheaper than the advertised prices.

Wal-Mart is selling the iPhone 5C on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint for just $79 on the two-year plan, and in about a week, the retailer will offer the 5S for $189. Best Buy promises to match the price of any online retailer as well, giving shoppers a reason to look for the best sales.

Perhaps the best deal on both the iPhone 5C and 5S is T-Mobile's- the carrier is seeking to lure customers to them, as they only picked up the iPhone 5 this year. T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 5C for no money down but $22 a month, and the iPhone 5S for $99 down and $22.91 a month tacked onto the existing bill. The sales are temporary, though, and may not last longer than a few weeks.
