iPhone 6, iPhone 5S Low-Cost Model to Launch in 4-6 Different Colors

The iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S low-cost model will be released in six different colors.

KGI Securites analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is now claiming that his previous prediction which said that Apple was going to launch the cheap iPhone in 6 different colors could be slightly off as he says the number will be more in between 4-6. The company will offer the device in different colors in order to mimic the success of the iPod Touch.

Kuo also stated that the low-cost iPhone will feature a 4-inch display, but its exterior will be made from a super-thin plastic casing mixed with glass fiber. This will make it stronger and thinner than typical smartphone plastic casings, according to Kuo.

He stated that the thickness will be in between 0.4 and 0.6 millimeters, making it thinner than the average plastic casing found on smartphones, which is between 0.7 and 1 millimeter.

Kuo is pretty accurate when it comes to making Apple predictions, so this information could be close to correct.

He also predicted that Apple will have a fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5S, which will be released later this year.

Kuo outlined what he thinks the main differences will be between the iPhone 5 and 5S. The new version will run on the faster A7 application processor, will feature a camera equipped with Smart Flash, will come with a fingerprint chip under the Home button, will have a plastic and fiberglass frame making it lighter and slimmer, and will come in more than two colors.

Apple is also rumored to be releasing an iPhone with a bigger screen in 2013, which could end up being the iPhone 6. However, the company has not confirmed anything at this time. Apple normally releases iPhones between June and October.
