'Iron Man 4' Plot Spoilers: A New Romance for Tony Stark?

The upcoming installment of "Iron Man 4" could reveal a new love interest for Tony Stark.

It was reported that the film is currently in development, which is expected to have several spoilers circulating the web. While the director, Shane Black, has confirmed this, it was still not officially announced whether Robert Downey Jr. will be return as he is still negotiating his contract with them.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Tony Stark will be receiving a new romantic interest in the upcoming installment. It was revealed that writer Brian Michael Bendis is working with Alex Maleev to create a story for the "Iron Man's" comic book world. With that, it was shared that Mary Jane Watson from Spider-Man will be joining the world of Iron-Man.

According to Bendis, Stark and Watson know each other since Watson used to live in the Avengers Tower. He explained that the upcoming story will bring a new vibe to both their lives.

Bendis stated, "They know each other. She used to live in Avengers Tower. But that's all I'm going to say for now because what kind of relationship they end up having is a big part of what I would like people to buy the book for. But what I can tell you is that it is new territory for both Tony and Mary Jane. And that is pretty exciting to write."

Fans are speculating that this will be an interesting addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are also reports that Ty Simpkins, who starred with Robert Downey Jr. in the previous installment, will be returning to the story. There are rumors explaining that he will be playing a younger Iron Man.

The new installment for the comic book "The Invincible Iron Man," which will feature Mary Jane Watson, will be released this December.
