'Itsu Datte Bokura no Koi 10 Centi Datta.' Air Date, Spoilers: HoneyWorks-Inspired Anime Series to Premiere in November

Two of HoneyWorks' songs have inspired an upcoming six-episode anime series premiering in November. What new stories of love and heartbreak will be featured in "Itsu Datte Bokura no Koi 10 Centi Datta. (We Have Always Been 10 cm Apart.)"?

The series will reportedly feature stories based on the songs, "Hatsukoi no Ehon" (The Picture Book of the First Love), which was part of the album, "Hatsukoi Note," and "Ippun Ichibyō Kimi to Boku no" (Yours and My One Minute and One Second) from the 2017 album "Nando Datte. Suki ~Kokuhaku Jikko Iinkai~."

The first song was uploaded on Niconico in 2011, then later on YouTube in 2012. It is performed by GUMI, and it features the point of view of Miou Aida, one of the six characters featured in the "Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai ~Ren'ai Series~ (Confession Executive Committee ~Love Series~)."

In the song, Miou is a lot older and is reminiscing about the moment she first met her first love, Haruki Serizawa, in the school hallway.

They soon became friends and were even rumored to be dating at one point. But despite this closeness, or perhaps because of it, Miou never did muster up the courage to confess her feelings for Haruki. Still, despite all of the years that have passed, Haruki has remained her first true love. However, she also realizes that it is a part of her past that she will have to eventually let go of.

On the other hand, the second song previously served as the ending theme for the 2016 romance anime movie, "Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita: Kokuhaku Jikkou Iinkai" or "I've Always Liked You." The song is about creating, preserving, and reliving the memories of youthful friendship.

HoneyWorks, also known as Haniwa, is a Japan-based musical group that produces and uploads original VOCALOID songs online. They began in 2010 on the Japanese video sharing website, Niconico Douga, and had their major debut in January 2014 with the release of the album "Zutto Mae Kara Sukidehita (I've Always Liked You)."

"Itsu Datte Bokura no Koi 10 Centi Datta." premieres on Friday, Nov. 24, at midnight JST on Tokyo MX and BS11. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources will be available on the series' official site at a later date.
