Jaime King Baby Blessing: Jessica Alba, Topher Grace Appointed As Godparents
Jaime King and husband Kyle Newman officially appointed godparents for their son James Knight with a blessing ceremony over the weekend.
The 34-year-old actress welcomed she and her husband's first child on Oct. 6 last year, and on Friday, Feb. 21, the happy parents celebrated the four-month-old's blessing alongside his celebrity godparents, Jessica Alba and Topher Grace.
"Life is a constant gift," King wrote in a caption of a photo posted to Instagram taken from the baptism. "Our baby blessing this evening for our son #JamesKnightNewman with our beloved godparents @tophergrace and @jessicaalba with daddy @kyle_newman- we love you!"

In the photo, King posed with Newman, Grace and Alba who held baby James. It comes as no surprise that King and Newman chose the celebrity godparents for their son- King and Alba have been friends for years, and even co-starred in 2005's "Sin City." Alternately, King and Newman have long been friends with Grace, who starred on "That '70's Show."
Back in August, King and Newman threw a "Star Wars"-themed baby shower which saw celebrity guests including Alba, Selma Blair and King's "Hart of Dixie" co-star, Rachel Bilson. Then, in December, King announced her son's famous godparents via Instagram.
"So grateful for our baby #JamesKnight to have such loving Godparents," the actress wrote in the caption with a photo including Alba and Grace. "Thank you for being there for us and the love of our lives."
Meanwhile, King and Newman met in 2005 on the set of "Fanboys," which Newman directed. They married two years later, and King has admitted that she wants "at least three children," according to InStyle magazine.
Despite being a busy mom, King is set to appear in films such as "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," "Barely Lethal" and "The Ever After" later this year. The actress is also a frequent Twitter user, and she joins many other stars in trying to prevent the papatrazzi from photographing her child.
"So @DailyMailUK- I enjoy your publication very much but please DO NOT post pap pics of my baby," King wrote on Twitter on Feb. 23. "I'm fair game- he is not. Please support this."
King's post reflects actress Kristen Bell's #NoKidsPolicy movement urging publications to avoid publishing pictures of celebrity's children.
