Jaimie Alexander Relationship With Peter Facinelli 'Stings,' Says Jennie Garth

Jamie Alexander has confirmed her relationship with Peter Facinelli, causing his ex-wife Jennie Garth some heartache.

Garth has openly discussed her progress with the divorce from Facinelli ever since it came about earlier this year. The actress recently admitted that seeing her ex-husband with his new girlfriend was not easy.

"I think there will come a time when [seeing Facinelli and Alexander] won't sting so bad," explained the "90210" star. "But I'm not quite there yet. You know, I am happy that he is happy, though."

Facinelli, best known from "Twilight," reportedly met Alexander on the set of "Loosies." The pair was spotted on the red carpet together ahead of the premiere of "Twilight: Breaking Dawn- Part 2."

The "Kyle XY" star confirmed her relationship with Facinelli during an interview with People magazine.

"It's very new to me and it's scary," said 28-year-old Alexander. "But it's also something we don't want to give up on because I know how it makes me feel in my heart. It makes me feel really good."

She added, "He's a good guy with a great family and I couldn't be any luckier."

Meanwhile, 39-year-old Facinelli filed for a divorce from Garth in March after 11 years of marriage. The couple shares three daughters.

Though Garth has coped with the split, the actress has debuted a much thinner frame following the finalization of the divorce. She is believed to have lost up to 30 pounds in recent months.

The starlet addressed her new look as well as her new life last month, explaining the events leading up to her divorce.

"I spent a couple of years lying in bed and being depressed, it was that 'I can't breathe' type of pain," said Garth, according to ABC News. "Physically, I didn't look my best and, mentally, I didn't feel my best. I was doing everything I could to be a good mom, but that was all I could handle."

"The past year has been a bit of a rebirth for me as a person by shedding that negative space and all the pain associated with that time," the actress noted.
