Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Bikini Pictures Embraced

Jamie Lynn Sigler made waves when she discussed a pregnancy faux pas at her baby shower in Manhattan on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old actress is expecting her first child with minor league baseball player Cutter Dykstra. While she is not due to give birth to her son until August, Sigler said she is enjoying pregnancy.

Furthermore, "The Sopranos" star's pregnancy has offered her a greater sense of body acceptance when it comes to bikinis, according to People.

"I would probably not be caught in a bikini otherwise, but when you're pregnant, it is what it is," explained the actress. "However your body's carrying is how your body's carrying."

The actress was in fact captured in a bikini on the beach in South Carolina this week, according to Yahoo News.

Also during her Baby Buggy Shower shower at New York City's Sugar & Plum, Sigler noted her girlfriends that have also recently welcomed little ones, such as television actress JoAnna Garcia and Channing Tatum's wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

"My best girlfriend JoAnna just had her baby a couple weeks ago and she talked me through her entire [birth] so I know everything that happened- the good, the bad, the ugly, and so I've got all the pointers," said the actress, according to People. "She'll probably be there when I give birth, so it's been nice to have her go through it and get to experience it with her."

The mom-to-be also quipped that her son will have plenty of girlfriends when he arrives as Dewan-Tatum and Garcia have each welcomed baby girls.

"He's going to have a little harem of princesses to choose from," she said, according to Us Weekly. "It's nice. We all joke about it."

Sigler's baby shower benefited the children's charity Baby Buggy.

The actress and her fiancé Dykstra announced their pregnancy just two weeks after getting engaged in February.

"Thank you so much for all the love everyone," Sigler posted to her Twitter followers at the time. "I am so happy and more importantly lucky!"

It will be the actress' second marriage. Sigler married her agent A.J. DiScala in 2003, but the pair split two years later.

Sigler has also been romantically linked to actor Jerry Ferrara and NFL star Mark Sanchez. She and Dykstra, a Washington Nationals player, began dating in 2010.

Dykstra was 2008's 2nd round pick by the Brewers. He is the son of disgraced ex-MLB All-Star Lenny Dykstra, who pleaded guilty to bankruptcy, fraud and money laundering last year, according to CBS Sports.

Furthermore, Dykstra's great uncles Pete, Jack and Tony Leswick played in the National Hockey League.
