Jane (Gina Rodriguez) will have problems adjusting to a vengeful Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) in the upcoming fourth season of "Jane the Virgin."
According to TV Guide, Rafael will be too focused on getting The Marbella back from his scheming sister Luisa (Yara Martinez) in the new installment. This will not sit well with Jane, as she cannot understand why he is willing to go to extremes to get revenge.
It looks like Rafael's bid for the fair lady's heart will not go as planned. He should be careful since Jane has an eager suitor in the person of her first love, Adam (Tyler Posey). Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman has teased that Adam's arrival would have a significant effect on Jane's life.
"Whereas Jane started off believing whole-heartedly in the idea that you are 'meant to' be with one person, as she matures, and the show matures, we look at that question, and ask if it's really true. Or is life, and romantic love, more about timing? We are, of course, always teasing out the possibility of Jane and Rafael— but we aren't looking at a traditional love triangle with those three. And I can't say anymore!" the EP said.
Meanwhile, it has been previously teased that Rafael would team up with a mysterious ally, the rich and powerful owner of the Cortes Hotel Conglomerate. "Telenovela" alum Alex Meneses is set to play the role of Katherine, a potential investor to The Marbella.
Speculations are rife that she will offer to help Rafael get back his hotel after Luisa ruthlessly threw him out in the last finale. She also took away his home. Rafael will be living with Jane's family at the first part of the new installment. Though he and Jane will technically be co-existing under one roof, this will not give him the advantage over Adam as she tries to keep things cool between them.
"Jane the Virgin" season 4 will air on Friday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
