Jennifer Aniston Stays Thin By 'Smiling,' Admits She 'Stopped Dieting'

Jennifer Aniston recently revealed her rather unusual methods for staying trim which she said involves spending time in the sun and being in good spirits.

The 43-year-old actress, who once made headlines for her grueling 3 a.m. workouts, said that she is done with dieting and instead opts to maintain her weight using other means.

''I stopped dieting when I figured out that you just have to eat regularly and properly within moderation," Aniston reportedly told Britain's OK! Magazine.

''The fads are too much. I think it's really about- honestly, this is going to sound silly- going in the sun for 20 minutes a day is really important, vitamin D, because we are now having a vitamin D deficiency because of all the SPF. And I think being happy and smiling and laughing a lot," she explained.

Aniston's newfound perspective on weight loss appears to be significantly different three years after she wrapped up filming the film "The Bounty," as previous reports claimed that the former "Friends" star had implemented a strenuous workout and diet regime throughout filming to maintain her youth.

"Jennifer has had a total overhaul for ['The Bounty']. She wants to be seriously fit, yet remain curvy," a source had previously reported. "There are a lot of early starts on set, so she has had to get up at 3 a.m. to get two hours in the gym before filming at 5 a.m. She is supposed to be playing a 35 year old, and is concerned she won't look the part now she is 40."

The actress has had plenty to smile about in recent months as she recently became engaged to her longtime partner Justin Theroux. Aniston was so overwhelmed with emotion over her engagement during a recent appearance on "Chelsea Lately" that she was almost reduced to tears.

"You are engaged?" Handler asked Aniston, prompting loud audience applause.

"Yes!" Aniston confirmed while beaming with joy. "I just got verklempt (Yiddish for overcome with emotion)."
