Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg Dating? Made Me Feel Like A '12-Year-Old,' Says Actress

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are dating, according to new reports. The news of the newly minted "The View" co-host's relationship comes after Wahlberg, who formerly sang for New Kids on the Block, appeared on her VH1 show.

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg shared a flirtatious few minutes on-air earlier this year and discussed various things, shared laughs and made jokes. Afterwards, she blogged about the experience, saying he made her feel like a "12-year-old" for the short time he was with her.

"Being turned on by a guy is always fun but to have it legitimately happen to you on TV is to be turned back into a 12-year-old," she wrote. "By the time we get into the groundbreaking interview, my face turns fifty shades of RED."

McCarthy also admitted to People magazine several weeks later that she "[misses] the romance"- she most recently dated NFL player Brian Urlacher, but it ended in August of 2012- and admitted to being single.

Now, it appears Wahlberg and McCarthy may have hit it off, as they reportedly have gone on dates and even spent July 4 together, according to Daily Mail.

The news of McCarthy's newest relationship comes after she was announced as the latest co-host of "The View." The actress will be replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who departed to morning show "Fox & Friends."

"I'm beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table," McCarthy said in a statement. "I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off."

"We are delighted that Jenny will be joining us as a permanent co-host on 'The View' starting in September," Barbara Walters said. "Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor. She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for The View."
