"With two kids, we have our hands full, but every day is a new adventure," Simpson told Us magazine. "It's fun! I feel very at peace with being a mom."

The birth of baby Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) came one year after Simpson and Johnson, who is a former NFL player, welcomed the birth of their first child, Maxwell Drew. The mother of two revealed that while her second pregnancy was overwhelming, the end result was extremely rewarding.

"Pregnancy is a lot. It was hard to do two so close together," she said. "I have this huge sense of accomplishment, and I feel in my heart that I'm done. But obviously, accidents do happen!"

Simpson and Johnson, 33, who got engaged in 2010, reportedly vowed to wed after the birth of their second child however it is unclear whether the couple has set a date. The former country singer celebrated her country-themed baby shower on April 14 in Los Angeles, where she reportedly spoke openly about wedding plans.

"[Jessica] was telling friends she wanted to get married a few months after the baby is born," a source said previously.

"Jessica said, 'Let's have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!'" the source added.

The couple was previously forced to postpone their wedding twice due to unexpected pregnancies, but the pair is reportedly determined to walk down the aisle in 2013.
