John Legend Defends Chrissy Teigen, Claims Amanda Bynes Has 'Bad Taste'

John Legend recently defended his fiance Chrissy Teigen following her heated Twitter exchange with Amanda Bynes.

On May 28 the 29-year-old outspoken food blogger urged fans of Bynes not to "support" the troubled actress due to her increasingly bizarre behavior she has displayed in recent months. Bynes, 27, immediately took offense to Teigen's tweets and characteristically lashed out at the model by calling her "ugly," which prompted a response from Legend, 34, one week later.

"She goes around having these one-sided fights with people," Legend told Life & Style magazine on Saturday.

"She called my fiancée and Rihanna ugly, which is obviously not true. She has seriously bad taste," he added.

Bynes, who was recently arrested on drug charges, has displayed troubling behavior in recent months which includes behaving erratically during random solo outings in New York city and posting sexually suggestive and offensive tweets about other celebrities such as rapper Drake and singer Rihanna.

The former Nickelodeon star has been on a downward spiral over the past year and critics like Teigen believe her strange behavior indicates a serious mental problem.

"The fact that Amanda Bynes has any 'support' to retweet is really unsettling," Teigen tweeted. "Support people with mental illness, yes. But don't condone/enable scary and poor behavior."

Bynes, who denies that she has poor mental health, fired back at Teigen in a rambling and shallow Twitter rant.

"Ur not a pretty model compared to me. I signed to Ford models @ age 13. I don't look up to u beauty wise. I'm far prettier than u!" Bynes wrote to Teigen.

"I'm offended that you're saying I have a mental illness when I show no sign of it, but thankfully not one man that wants me wants you and you are an old ugly model compared to me! You look 45! You're not pretty so I'm not intimidated by you!" she continued. "I think you're jealous that you're just an ugly model whos career is uninspiring!"

Teigen did not respond to Bynes after the offensive tweets about her appearance, but she recently explained her decision to speak out in the first place.

"I feel like, I'm always very outspoken, but it goes without saying, I think there's a problem here," Teigen told E! News.

"Something's wrong and I just loved her. I loved her so much and I was rooting for her so long, and what's happening now is wrong," she added.
