Justin Bieber Gets Major Backing From T-Pain, Calling Music Best R&B In Years

Justin Bieber may have received flack for some of his behavior, but the 20-year-old is making some of the best R&B music that big time songwriter and producers like T-Pain have heard in decades.

T-Pain, the Grammy award winning producer who has famously worked with entertainers like Kanye West and Jamie Foxx, is singing Bieber's praises. After Bieber hinted that he was in the studio with T-Pain last February, the producer is speaking up about their collaboration.

"The Bieber record is really, really R&B, surprisingly. He's doing some great R&B music right now, and it's like literally the best R&B music I've heard in years," the writer and producer told MTV. "I haven't heard music like this since like early 2000s, '90s. It's insane. He's doing really good right now."

The producer revealed that he and Bieber worked on more than one song together, and did not shy away from praising Bieber's writing talents.

"We did four songs when he was at my house. So, I don't know which one he's gonna use, so, we kinda just went in, recorded," the producer told MTV. "And my homeboy Pooh was there, he's a fantastic writer; Justin's a great writer himself."

On working with the budding singer T-Pain called the experience, "a very productive night."

Bieber had a tough time filled with legal issues earlier this year. The singer was accused of assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto, arrested for a DUI and questionable driving in Miami, accused of egging his neighbor's home and pictured performing questionable acts with strippers in previous months.

Although he planned to take a break from work last March, Bieber tweeted about spending long nights and early mornings in recording studios across multiple cities recently. The singer revealed why he decided to work tirelessly on his music despite a reported break that he was supposed to be taking.

"Everyone is asking me why am I in the studio if I'm on a break. Because music is what I love to do," Bieber tweeted last March. "This isn't work. This is what I love."

The singer made it clear what his priorities are by tweeting, "making music everyday. #focused."
