Justin Timberlake released his new single early Monday. It is his first in six years, and the song has been described as an up-tempo R&B hit by critics.
The 31-year-old teamed up with hip hop mogul Jay-Z, who is also featured on the new track. The single is the first off of Timberlake's upcoming third studio album "The 20/20 Experience," according to CBS News.
"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs," Timberlake wrote in a letter to fans.
"It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process," he went on. "What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I've discovered along the way."
The highly anticipated album will be Timberlake's first since "Future Sex/Love Sounds," which he released in 2006.
Lyrics of "Suit & Tie" include "And as long as I've got my suit and tie / I'mma leave it all on the floor tonight / And you got fixed up to the nines / Let me show you a few things."
Fans of the newly married singer flocked to social networking site Twitter to weigh in on his brand new song.
