Justin Timberlake Surprise Free Concert Attended by Kim Kardashian, Amanda Seyfried

Justin Timberlake put on an impromptu concert at Southern Hospitality, in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen last night. The barbeque joint was mobbed with fans that had gotten wind of Timberlake’s free show.

The pop artist tweeted Wednesday, “NYC!!! Wanna check out some live music tonight?? Meet me and @freesol at 45th & 9th at 11 pm. #bbqnyc #youdontwanttomissthis”

The bar and restaurant was packed to capacity by 9 p.m. and people crowded the streets outside, waiting for the 11 p.m. show.

Timberlake, 30, told excited fans, “I did a country song. I just disguised it as something else” before he launched into a soulful a capella performance of his 2002 hit “What Goes Around…Comes Around.”

He took the stage with the Memphis hip-hop, rock and soul fusion band FreeSol –performing a few new songs such as rap ballad “Don’t Give It Away.”

Timberlake Fans weren’t the only ones to attend the concert at the restaurant, other guests included Kim Kardashian and new husband Kris Humphries, Kourtney Kardashian, and Timberlake’s “In Time” co-star Amanda Seyfried.

Billboard reported that several NYPD cruisers lined the block outside Southern Hospitality, but there were no reported incidents. People enjoyed every minute of the surprise show and fans joined Timberlake in singing “What Goes Around…Comes Around,” wrote the magazine.

For those that missed last night’s performance, Timberlake plans to take the stage Thursday night with FreeSol, who was signed to Timberlake’s Tennman Records label in 2006.

“Thanks to everyone who came out to @bbqnyc…amazing night. Now, who’s ready to go again @Irving Plaza?! #national901day” Timberlake tweeted.

National 901 Day, as the show has been billed, is an event to promote not only FreeSol but also 901 Silver Tequila.

Justin Timberlake launched the triple distilled, ultra premium tequila brand in 2009 and is partnered with Palm Bay International. 901 Silver Tequila is named after the Memphis area code – Timberlake’s and FreeSol’s hometown.

The free concert tonight is scheduled to begin at 9:01 p.m.
