Kandi Burruss is thanking God that her good friend and fellow Christian "Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star Phaedra Parks was able to keep calm during an argument with her volatile husband, Apollo Nida, that played out on television last week.

Nida is serving an eight-year prison sentence for creating fake businesses, false bank accounts and using stolen checks while defrauding automotive lenders. The 35-year-old fitness guru became famous after appearing on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" as attorney Phaedra Parks' husband.

Last Sunday, viewers witnessed a shocking exchange between Nida and his wife after he convinced some of their mutual friends that she was cheating on him. On the day he was supposed to report to jail, Parks called someone to change the locks on the doors of her home, but Nida caught her in the act.

He screamed accusations at his wife and even came toward her with a power drill at one point when she calmly told him to get away from her after phoning his friend to get him so that she wouldn't have to call the police. Now, Parks' good friend, Burruss, is speaking up about the ordeal via her Bravo TV blog.

"That was crazy and intense! Phaedra kept her cool," Burruss responded when she was questioned about the matter. "Thank God! Obviously Apollo wasn't thinking clearly."

While it seems Parks kept her cool, she previously spoke about the tough situation of seeing her estranged husband and father of her two sons go to prison.

"Words cannot express the turmoil this situation has caused our family, and I can't even begin to articulate how hard it has been," Parks said in her November Bravo TV blog. "When you face a situation like this, you can choose to either break down or stay strong; I chose to stay strong because I have two young children that need a parent to give them stability and keep the ship sailing."
