Jeff Withey has led from the front this season, and managed to claim 17 points and nine rebounds in their 70-54 victory over Kansas State in the Big-12 final last week. In addition, Perry Ellis and Naadir Tharpe scored 24 points combined.

The Kansas defense seemed very impressive against Kansas State in last week's match up, smothering them and allowing the opposition to shot just 35 percent from the field overall.

Kansas also managed to round off the season with a 10-1 run, and they will be hoping their good form can take them all the way this year at the NCAA.

Meanwhile, Western Kentucky ended the season 20-10, finishing fourth in the Sun Belt. However, they went on a four game winning streak to win the conference title to book their place here.
